Summer Reading
SUMMER READING 2008
Sign up for the summer reading program at the Gooding Public Library begins Monday, June 2nd (or anytime after that) ages 4 - 12 are welcome to participate.
1. Receive a reading log and check our some books, start tracking your reading time. All children are encouraged to read or be read to for at least 20 minutes everyday.
2. Stop in at the library to log your time and win a prize
There will be contests and fun activities at the library during June and July.
Programs will be held each Tuesday morning at 10am. Programs are for children ages 5-12.
Preregistration for the first program is highly encourged.
June 10th: Backyard Safari - Reading Kick off
June 17th: Bugs that fly
June 24th: Grasshoppers
July 1st: Ants in my pants
July 8th: Spiders webology
July 15th: Bring on the caterpillars and butterflies
July 22nd: Hooray for the bees
july 29th: Final program - prizes
Children do not have to attend the weekly programs to complete reading logs.
All activities are free!
Get to the library and "Catch the Reading Bug"
Certificates for a free childs meal or Teen Dessert Shooter will be available to students who qualify, find out how you may win!
